Did you know that out of all snakes on the planet, the African Rock Python is the only snake that actually cares for its young?

While other snakes lay their eggs and leave them alone to hatch and find their way, the African Rock Python lays it’s eggs and watches over them.

Normally, pregnant snakes will lay their eggs in a safe spot and just leave them there, they don’t bother if they hatch or not. But the African Rock Python will lay its egg in a safe spot and coils around them until they hatch. It usually take them 65-80 days to hatch .After they hatch she just leaves them to survive on their own
